I chose the twitter post on Building Your Own Web server. The post links to a web-page that gives you step by step instructions on how to build your own web server using Linux Ubuntu Server 11.04 and an old computer you might have lying around. This step by step outline gives you everything you need to set up a free LAN based web server to test out and play with. The article also provides many useful commands that you will need in order to use the web server OS. The web server OS is not graphical so the use of typed commands are very important. The main reason why I chose this twitter post is because I am a Management Information Systems major and I plan on working in an IT department after I graduate. I feel that trying something like this will give me some skills necessary in my planned line of work.

 I chose this blog post because I found it very interesting to read about the Apple iPad before it was released and all the speculation surrounding it. I was also curious to see how these old concept videos of the past helped shape the ideas of our future. It’s great to see how these ideas in these videos for the most part became a reality.
